Welcome to Jennifer Hakim, doctoral candidate in Université de Sherbrooke Health Sciences Research program at the Centre de formation médicale du N.-B. Jennifer holds a Master’s degree in Health Services Management from the Université de Moncton, as well as a Doctorate in Medicine from her native Lebanon. Over the years, and as a result of her personal experience, she has developed a particular interest in the barriers faced by foreign-graduated physicians in their professional integration into New Brunswick. Her research project, under the co-direction of professors Mathieu Belanger and Said Mekari, aims to understand the barriers and facilitators to the professional integration of foreign-trained physicians upon their arrival in the province.
Jennifer enjoys spending her free time with her family and her two boys, and is constantly on the lookout for new things to discover. She is passionate about reading, learning languages and exploring cultures through travel.
