Daniel Saucier received a studentship grant from the New Brunswick Health Research Foundation (NBHRF) and the CIHR-SPOR-MSSU for his project “Urbanization, air pollution and proximity to water: Identification of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis environmental risk factors in New Brunswick”. Under the supervision of Professor Mathieu Bélanger, Daniel proposed an original research project that is directly related to the health of New Brunswickers and the mandate of the Maritime SPOR Support Unit. The Canadian Institutes of Health Research awarded a major award to a team led by Mathieu Bélanger, Marie-Pierre Sylvestre & Jennifer O’Loughlin to study coping strategies and mental health in young adults. Data from two important Canadian longitudinal studies, NDIT and MATCH, will be used to explore quantitative and qualitative insight into the COVID-19 experience. Read more…
