A warm congratulations to our collegue from IMPACTS Lab, François Gallant, who successfully defended his PhD thesis entitled « Caractérisation de la participation aux sports et à l’activité physique durant l’adolescence » (Characterization of sport and physical activity participation during adolescence).
Little is known about specific changes in sport and physical activity participation during adolescence. The thesis aimed to better describe how physical activity varies over time, in addition to documenting predictors and outcomes of different patterns of change in physical activity participation. Results highlight that practicing a variety of physical activities from an early age is important to help maintain physical activity levels over time.
François Gallant is a Research Officer with IMPACTS Lab. On behalf of the entire team, we wish you every success in your future projects.
